The Black Authors Association can support authors beyond simply promoting a book. The goal is to help authors become more visible, connect with readers, strengthen their brands, and create opportunities to sell more books.
• Increase Book Visibility: Promote authors through social media, newsletters, websites, author spotlights, interviews, and special campaigns.
• Connect Authors With Readers: Create book fairs, author meetups, bookstore events, virtual events, book clubs, and community reading programs.
• Provide Marketing Education: Offer workshops on book marketing, AI for authors, Canva, social media, media skills, podcasting, QR codes, and building an author business.
• Create Book Placement Opportunities: Help connect qualifying books with bookstores, schools, libraries, community organizations, festivals, and other literacy focused opportunities.
• Build Author Credibility: Provide opportunities for professional book reviews, magazine features, podcast interviews, awards, speaking engagements, and special author showcases.
• Offer Mentorship and Coaching: Pair developing authors with experienced professionals who can provide guidance, accountability, and practical support.
• Create National Exposure: Develop special promotional opportunities such as Times Square book showcases, national campaigns, conferences, and traveling book events.
• Help Authors Build Their Business: Teach authors how to move beyond simply publishing a book and develop multiple opportunities around their expertise, story, and personal brand.
